A study released last week showed that the majority of Motorists are unaware that new speed cameras with “AI and 4D radar tech” are already on roads in the UK…
The cameras can see a full picture of inside your car.
They’re designed to spy on you, to see if there’s anything you can be fined for under whatever new “law” the government happens to bring in to in extort …sorry I mean protect us from ourselves.
The speed cameras also link to police and DVLA databases, to see whether you’ve paid road tax or not…
Incredibly — to me at least — people who took the poll were split on whether the new cameras are justified or not, with only around half of people believing they are invasion of privacy.
Frankly I’m stunned, but not really surprised by this :-(

It seems apparent that we live in a World where many people earnestly believe that the government has some kind of moral authority over our lives.
One comment that stood out to me was:
"Its an invasion of privacy but, at the same time, if you're not breaking the law you shouldn't have an issue."
I heard a great quote recently by Ed Snowden which I think offers the right response to this:
"Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say..."
Big Brother Watch has called out the use of the cameras, saying:
"This kind of intrusive and creepy surveillance which treats every passer-by as a potential suspect is excessive. People should be free to go about their lives without being analysed by faceless AI systems."
While the Alliance of British Drivers had this to say:
cameras being used exclusively to prevent accidents was always a total sham. The objective is actually to maximise their revenue-generating potential."
I think you can probably guess where I fall on this argument :-)
