Familiarisation Session:
You’ll start the day by driving in a familiarisation session next to a professional ARDS (Association of Racing Driver Schools) Instructor, who will coach you in our track ready Suzuki Swift Sport while you drive on the famous Brands Hatch circuit.
The idea of this first session is to make you feel comfortable with driving on track, to show you the way around, and to get you up to speed with the basics.
Check out an onboard video of Adam driving our Swift Sport trackday car at Brands Hatch here:
The Instructor will first drive a few laps at modest speed to show you the circuit / racing lines / braking points etc.
You’ll then jump in the Drivers seat and drive until you’re comfortable with the circuit.
One-on-one Sessions:
After your training with the ARDS Instructor in the Suzuki Swift Sport, the rest of the day will be split between you driving the Trackday car and as a passenger for “Hot Laps” in the MX5 Supercup race car.
In the trackday car, it can be a combination of you driving, the Instructor driving, or Adam driving — whatever works for you.
What generally works best if you’re new to driving on track is: The Instructor drives to show you the circuit / racing lines / braking points etc. > You drive with coaching > The Instructor drives for a few laps to give you some pointers > You drive again > Repeat > Hot Laps at the end so you can measure your performance against a former professional racing driver.
However, if you prefer to do all the driving, that’s completely fine — this day is about what you want. Unlike the “cookie cutter” experience you typically get at racing schools, this is a much more immersive track experience with no hard rules about how many laps you can do etc.
Hot Laps:
After your training in the trackday car, hop in with Adam for “hot laps” of the Brands Hatch circuit in his current MX5 Supercup race car (about Adam’s racing history) .
You can do as many hot laps as you want (of course bearing in mind time constraints and being fair to other attendees). Just ask and we can do as many as you like (no additional charge).
As this is the first ever trackday we’re putting on, there is no formal structure. Instead we’ll switch between drivers in a relaxed fashion, making sure that each Driver gets their fair share of track time.
There are a maximum of 10 Drivers for this first trackday.
Everything is provided including helmets, tea and coffee and snacks. You will need to bring your driving licence, a long sleeve shirt/jumper and long trousers to the circuit.
